1. Scope and Information We Collect

This Privacy Policy explains how Precision Proteomics Inc. (“PPI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information in connection with our website (precisionproteomics.ca) and our dealings with clients and prospective clients. This policy applies to information we collect from research institutions, pharmaceutical and biotech company representatives, and other visitors who contact us or purchase from us; it does not apply to third-party websites we may link to.

Information you provide to us. When you submit a quote request, contact form, or place an order, we collect information such as your name, work email address, institution or company name, phone number, service or product of interest, and the content of your message. When you purchase a product through our online shop, we (or our payment processor) also collect billing and shipping information and payment details necessary to process the transaction.

2. How We Use and Share Information

How we use it. We use the information we collect to respond to quote requests and inquiries, process and fulfill orders, provide analytical services, communicate with you about your order or account, improve our website and offerings, and comply with legal or accounting obligations. We will not use your information for purposes materially different from these without your consent.

Sharing with service providers. We share personal information with third-party service providers who help us operate our business — for example, our web hosting provider, payment processor, shipping carriers, and email/CRM tools — solely for the purpose of providing our products and services. These providers are permitted to use your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

Other disclosures. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Storage, Security, and Cross-Border Transfer

Where your information is stored. Our website and business systems may be hosted on servers located in Canada or other countries, including the United States, depending on our service providers. Where personal information is transferred outside Canada, it may become subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by that country’s authorities.

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention. We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain business records, respond to inquiries, and meet legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Current legal framework (as of 2026). Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), remains in force. A proposed replacement (Bill C-27) did not pass and a new reform bill (Bill C-36) was introduced in mid-2026 but has not yet become law. We will update this policy if and when new federal privacy legislation takes effect.

4. Your Rights and How to Reach Us

Your rights under PIPEDA. Subject to certain legal exceptions, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your information (which may limit our ability to provide certain products or services to you). To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

Quebec residents. If you are located in Quebec, additional rights and obligations apply under Quebec’s Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25), including the right to request de-indexing or deletion of your information in certain circumstances, and the right to be informed of any decision made about you based exclusively on automated processing of your information.

International visitors. If you are located outside Canada, your information may still be processed in Canada or other countries as described in Section 3; by using our site or services, you consent to this transfer and processing.

Children’s privacy. Our website and services are directed at business and institutional clients and are not intended for use by children.

Changes to this policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the version posted on our website governs, and we will update the effective date accordingly.
